Poetry of a Lifetime
Into The West
We have come to a time,
Where words are only a crime.
Our lies are but betrayed,
And most stand alone and afraid.
But not now, not here,
For you helped me pioneer.
There was nothing to fear,
For you are everything I hold dear.
I now walk towards the west.
Never depressed but blessed,
For I may not see you again
But in my heart you have made an eternal stain
I will not weep,
But I shall miss thee.
In my soul I shall keep,
Thou courageous glory.
No time left for gatherings,
No time left for queens and kings.
Just enough for a momentary lapse,
to say, goodbye.
