Have We No Peace?

Have we but lost all hope?
Have we not shed enough tears?
Do we really want to live in our fears?
How many of us can really carry on?

Weapons of mass destruction everywhere
Do not keep us away from all the harms
They do not give any more love
Than the love we are missing every day

We look down to those who suffer
We look down to those who fall
Ever thought about giving a hand?
For the love you have can expand

We say that we are to do things
But the things we go and say
Are the only things we must delay
So where are our daily promises?

Why are we so afraid to love those around us?
Why does it seems so easy to destroy
Yet so hard to have any joy?
There's still hope, it is only up to you
