Poetry of a Lifetime
A Son Never Forgets
As I walk alone in the distant desert
Thinking about my past meaningful pride
As I stood up to that heart broken revert
Feeling upset to the old man as I cried
Everyday another piece of my heart falls off
As I look for that idol at the top of those old stairs
As he is nowhere, I try to get through life without a cough
And I try to forget those horrible lonely tears
I shall never forget the times we spent upon glorious youth
In which you held me up into the great blue skies
I shall remember always that memorized truth
And ne?er shall I tell the lies about our goodbyes
